I first met Brook and Sherwin at their engagement session at the Don Cesar. After chatting with them for a few hours, I knew I was going to fall madly in love with them and their wedding! December weddings have got to be my absolute favorite – and not just because I’M getting married in December! It seems like everyone is just so warm and sparkles are just sparklier! I don’t know how to describe it – it’s just an atmosphere that I feel like can’t be replicated. When you’re surrounded by so many friends and amazing family showering you with love – nothing could be better!
Brooks bridesmaids gowns have been Instagrammed to death by fellow wedding vendors and brides – so before I get another 20 emails, they’re by JS Collections, and we included the link below :) We loved them so much, we used them for a lot of our detail shots! I was also hopelessly in love with Brook’s stationary by Urban Coastย – gold, textured and so elegant! It was perfect for their metallic theme!
Brook is taking on a new role as “mom” to Sherwin’s 2 amazingly beautiful boys – who had a really special part in the day! At the beginning of the ceremony they said some really sweet words about Sherwin’s late father – who I could tell has been loved endlessly by their entire family. It was a beautiful moment and followed by a touching serenade of “Amazing Grace”, his favorite song.
The reception was a serious show-stopper and had guests raving all night! If it wasn’t the amazing food station selections (Cuban, Mac & Cheese, Sushi, Sliders and SO much more), it was the stunning decor, floral design and gilver accents (did you know that “Gilver” is the new term coined by the wedding industry to combine Silver and Gold? I just found that out!) And the orchids…. oh the orchids! I’ve come to really appreciate orchids lately, and was thrilled to see how beautifully they were incorporated in to Brook’s bouquet and centerpieces.
DJ Fresh, who is the Tampa Bay Rays DJ, kept the party going late in to the night, and finished off with some special “Brook and Sherwin” glo-sticks!
A huge thank you to Brook, Sherwin, Stephanie (from Table 6) and all of the rest of their vendors, family and friends for making this day so much fun for us to photograph!!
