Although there’s a pretty solid argument for this shot of Tiffany alone (minus the confusing hairy arm. I guess I’m the only one digging the confusion :)

  • Ashley King: Kristen – I love, Love, LOVE these! The quality of your black and whites remind me of my darkroom days with warm toned fiber based paper!! So awesome!
  • nicolenjoli: I found you through facebook. These are so pretty, I like the natural quality of them, I want one of myself:) Congrats on the Modern Photographers…
  • Sara Jayne: This whole series of photos is completely mind blowing. Love Love Love!!!
  • Kristen Weaver: You just said “team no-hairy arm” – which was the funniest comment ever. I think I just loved the intensity in her eyes on that one. It’s enchanting. Anyways… thanks for the input! :)
  • Dixie: Awesome! I really love Hollie’s – just gorgeous. For Tiffany, I’m on team no-hairy-arm. I can’t wait to see the final product!
  • Jennifer Duffy: Love the treatment you have on these shoots. The black and white is just so dramatic here.
  • moraima: Awesome shots!
  • Megan: Kristen, These shots are absolutely phenomenal! Once again you are amazing!
  • Bethany: Love them all…even the creepy hairy arm.. lol great work!
  • Amy Weiler: Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Keep it up Kristen!
Amanda and Melissa
02.12.2010Fashion

Yesterday was a super long day – 3 sessions, editing and home-life. It’s really difficult to juggle at times, but so important that I do well at both being a “mom” to kids who desperately need one, and being a good girlfriend, while still trying to run my own business. Totally have a new respect for women who run their own business from home, with kids. It’s a three-ring circus some days!

Anyways, my project is in full swing – and I had 2 more shoots with Amanda and Melissa yesterday. I actually got to shoot a whole session with Amanda, so I’ll be posting those a bit later!

Here’s a sneak of their sessions for my project!

Model Portfolio Peek: Mona
01.24.2010Bridal Fashion

I’ll admit it – when I first met with Mona to plan her model portfolio development shoot, I was really skeptical when she mentioned doing bridal. I knew she had this gorgeous, sultry and exotic look – I definitely could see her doing fashion and editorial… but bridal? I wouldn’t exactly say I was reluctant… but I definitely remember spending about 30 seconds pacifying her before moving on to the next idea.

I’ll also admit when I’m wrong :)

I just wanted to post a quick peek from my amazing session today with Mona to work on some new shots for her modeling portfolio. She’s a bit new to the industry, but I was more than impressed with how many options she gave us during the shoot!

And my dream team – Melanie Pace and Jillian Caro – just totally brought it. They are amazing, no matter what we shoot, where or how, they know how to make me look like I know what I’m doing :) PLUS (as if I needed any other reason to work with them), we always have such a good time!

I have so many more to edit… but a few quick faves will have to do for tonight! And if you’re not my Facebook Fan, be sure to jump on and check out some hysterical Behind the Scenes footage from the shoot!

Happy Holidays from the Paces!
12.30.2009Family Portraits

A couple days before I left for vacation, my numero uno stylist and fashion diva, Melanie Pace, contacted me about doing a super quick session of her and her sister, Elaine, for a Christmas present for their parents! They gave them some super cute prints in an album that they can add to later, plus a gift certificate for a family session in the spring!

Elaine was super pregnant, but it didn’t stop Melanie from switching out her comfy Crocs for some Yves Saint Laurent heels! I’m glad I got to meet Elaine and baby Gavin just a week before his birth! Gavin entered our cozy holiday season on Dec. 24th!

The shoot took some unexpected turns once we did some impromptu studio shots (which will explain the hairy mustache). Enjoy!
