As many of my readers know, this year was my first year to take on an associate photographer! Krista has been working with me for 2 years now, but just this fall we’ve started marketing her as a lead photographer under my brand! We’re very excited to share her first full wedding as lead!  — Kristen

My first lead wedding under my new brand, Krista by KWP, hits the blog today!! I am in awe just how fast time flies and how much I’ve experienced throughout the years with Kristen! Although I have worked quite a few weddings as a second shooter with Kristen, there is a huge difference when you begin photographing weddings on your own as a lead photographer. Let’s just say, I’m hooked and couldn’t be more thankful!! But enough about me, let me introduce Stevie and Dodger’s wedding!

After meeting at the age of fifteen through mutual friends, Stevie and Dodger began dating and grew inseparable! Dodger decided after their seven year milestone, he wanted to seal the deal and marry his best friend, Stevie. After a long walk on the beach in New Smyrna, Dodger asked Stevie to draw a picture in the sand and he would do the same. The talented artist that she is, Stevie drew a llama and Dodger wrote “Will you marry me?”. Little did he know, she knew this moment was coming the entire day so without thinking twice, she said YES, took the ring from the box, and placed it on her own hand!

Their wedding was filled with so many little details and memorable moments, even the thunderstorms didn’t stop them from having a great time!! Personal touches like hand-drawn stationary and table cards accented their unique event. The chose mint-green as their wedding day color and had little personal cakes at each of the tables for guests! Stevie’s gown was a one-of-a-kind from Israel, selected by the team at Something New Bridal Boutique, and her bouquet was a mix of succulents, english roses and peonies!
