December 11, 2010 | Orlando, FL

I knew that my first blog post of 2011 needed to be a doozy.

When I first met Rachel, I was shooting some new headshots for An Affair to Remember, an Orlando-based coordination team. Rachel was one of their top notch event planners and we had started talking about her wedding photography a few weeks prior. When she originally contacted me, I was already planning my December B.Session marathon for her date, and was super sad to have to tell her I was already booked. When she mentioned her wedding was at the exact same hotel that I was planning on staying, I knew there was some weird fate taking over! My B.Session girls were more than gracious in allowing me to move their date to the next day, and I was so excited to work with this amazing team on Rachel and Teddy’s New York styled event!

Rachel and Teddy have one of the sweetest (and longest) courtships of all of my brides! Meeting 8 years ago in their Catholic high school’s homeroom, Teddy knew he had met his match. Rachel wasn’t quite so sure. But after Teddy’s insistence, and charming good looks, Rachel was hooked. Immediately following high school, Teddy traded in all of his graduation money for a ring, and proposed to Rachel! After a little distance separated them through their college years, Teddy re-proposed last Christmas in Central Park, and they set a date for December 2010.

To say that it was an honor to work with not just an amazing couple, but an amazing team of vendors, is the understatement of the century! With Rachel’s vision, Kristen and Lisa from An Affair to Remember put on an incredible event, highlighted by amazing decor, music, food and of course, an amazing venue! It was such a pleasure getting to know Rachel and Teddy’s families – they are surrounded by so much love!! It’s always a joy to work weddings where there is so much happiness floating around!

So with a HUGE thank you to everyone who was a part of their special day, I’m overjoyed to share a small selection of their beautiful wedding!

This blog post is pretty darn long, chocked full of amazing goodness! So you’ll want to keep reading below to see the entire wedding!

Hey Rach, remember when you took Teddy’s white handkerchief out of his pocket because you didn’t like it? And you gave it to me to hold?
Yeah, I just found it in my Shootsac :) Is anyone wondering what happened to it?

Rachel, a big movie buff, read a poem to Teddy during the ceremony that she heard in ‘In Her Shoes’, and Teddy recited a quote from ‘The Notebook’.

Their cocktail hour featured a special room playing scenes from their favorite movies.

Rachel and Teddy’s New York themed reception had table names of special parts of New York City, like Broadway, Times Square and Central Park.

Guests were treated to special ‘Crackers’ – favors containing crowns, photo confetti and candy.

Rachel’s dad serenaded the newly married couple! It was so sweet! One of my favorite moments of the evening.

Dan (and Dan) from White Rose Entertainment put on an awesome party with great music! The dance floor was always crowded!

Photomingle was at the reception so guests could make their own Guestbook for Rachel and Teddy with cute and fun snapshots of themselves! Photomingle is really cool because the guests can actually use the screen to write their own little messages over their photos! Rachel sent me a couple of her favorites (and you may recognize a person or 2!) :)

And next, my personal favorite – I seriously haven’t been able to stop laughing since I’ve seen this one!!!
