Royal Blue Frenchman’s Reserve Wedding

A romantic floral vibe in Florida’s Palm Beach was the perfect setting for my Kappa Delta sister, Amanda, to get married to her amazing fiance, Adam! Surrounded by some of my favorite people from my days at Florida Southern College, I was fortunate enough to join everyone for their absolutely incredible wedding day.
I absolutely fell in LOVE with their venue – and of course, with Adam! Although I’ve known Amanda for close to 15 years, it was my first time meeting her groom.
I don’t know if I could’ve chosen a better match for her. He compliments her in every way – and you can tell they just absolutely adore each other!
The Couple
On St. Patrick’s Day in 2010, Amanda and some friends were out at a rooftop bar when she spotted Adam. Both remember the night a bit differently, but after some drinks and dancing, they connected and exchanged numbers! Several years of dating later, Adam proposed in the most awkwardly perfect way possible!
Adam made dinner reservations for them to have a little date night. Both foodies, they chose a new restaurant to enjoy. Following dinner, he took her to the same pub where they originally met. The plan was to propose there, but jitters got the best of him! I am actually going to let Amanda take it from here, because I LOVE her version of the proposal!
“He must have driven 100mph home, because he beat me home and still had time to pour some wine. So I come through the door, and I’m on the phone with my friend Kim. I make a beeline to change clothes – totally pass him by. A few minutes later I come back to the living room and tell him what’s new with Kim – when he grabs my by the shoulders and says ‘Stop talking, I have something to ask you!
‘ So he gets on one knee. And asks. I just remember kissing him a lot. And feeling bad about being in my grubby pajamas.”
The Wedding Day
Amanda and Adam chose the lush and tropical Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club for their wedding day. After a traditional Catholic ceremony, they celebrated with their friends and family in the newly decorated ballroom of the Reserve.
Touring the grounds at Frenchman’s was like a tropical paradise in Palm Beach. Every turn had new nooks and crannies to discover – and the palm-lined sidewalks were the perfect spots for photos.
But I absolutely adored the beautiful outdoor areas of their church! It’s not terribly often I love the outside of a church (does that make me a horrible person? But honestly – it’s usually just parking lots!), but the facade of St. Patrick church was absolutely beautiful. Everything just seemed to fall right in place when we drove back to the clubhouse and stopped alongside the road at the amazing Bougainvillea arches.
