Seven years ago, Courtney met her best friend Bruce. Three years ago, they figured out it was a little more than friendship and started dating. His first Christmas present to her: a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps! In December 2009, Bruce proposed to Courtney on the top of a mountain at Lake Tahoe. It doesn’t get much better than that :) Oh wait… then it did! In April, they got married in a gorgeous beach ceremony in Clearwater.

I didn’t actually meet Bruce until the day of their wedding – but Courtney and I go back. Way back. Sorta :) We bonded over bad photography (not mine) and ballet; reality tv shows and being unabashedly goofy.

Some of our favorite details from their wedding came in small packages! Courtney’s wedding day scent was the popular ‘Chance’ by Chanel, bought as a present while Bruce was in Paris. There was literally about 2 drops left in the bottle, but it still smelled just as sweet! Courtney and Bruce’s cake was like a mini-masterpiece in itself. With small intricate details drawn in frosting – a Gasparilla scull and crossbones (the first annual thing they decided to do as a couple), a monkey named Pleebleus (in Courtney’s words: We took the idea from a drinking show called “Three Sheets”.  It’s a stuffed monkey that travels with us everywhere and gets fun pictures  —- see our FB album dedicated to him.”), and the letter G for their alma mater and the place where they met, Gettysburg College! Also, major props for Bruce’s wedding present to Courtney – an amazing Majorica Aquamarine and Diamond pendant!

Most importantly, Courtney and Bruce were surrounded by the most perfect collection of their family and friends, and we were so excited to be there with them to celebrate! It was such a fantastic day :)

And I just wanted to share this super sweet review that Courtney put on my Facebook page:
“Five stars simply isn’t even CLOSE to quantifying the awesomeness of Kristen and her team. I was petrified when it came to hiring a photographer since my groom and I always felt like we were not the most photogenic people in the world. Kristen immediately calmed my fears. I immediately connected with her warm and fantastically lovely personality and knew I was making the right choice. I even did a b. session with her which was shockingly fantastic! Her photos are gorgeous, her staff is super professional and personable, and her ability to handle the stress of your wedding day with grace and ease is unparalleled. I fully intend on hiring Kristen for every single possible family event that I need photos for. And while kids aren’t in our near future, I’m super stoked to have some just so Kristen can take their pictures!!!! And she knows that means something…..”
