Kristin and Mike were married in a sweet outdoor ceremony at Interlachen Country Club. Kristin’s theme for the wedding was something along the lines of “Jessica Simpson meets Pride and Prejudice and had a Twlight baby”.  With soft pink, creamy ivory and a hint of gray, their wedding had the romance and spunk of a young sweet couple in love.

Kristin spoiled her bridesmaids with lots of beautiful gifts – like their floral bridesmaids robes.

But one of our favorite moments was when this self-proclaimed Daddy’s girl got the wedding toast of a lifetime – paying homage to the new man in her life. He had a few surprises up his sleeve….

Kristin put a spin on the bride’s gown hanger and bought custom hangers for her bridesmaids in their nicknames!

On the left, a custom pin that Kristin wore was actually collected from her parent’s house and melted together, to take a bit of her past on to her future.

The “books” are actually boxes for the bridesmaids robes!

Mike’s present to Kristin was a silver charm bracelet with a horseshoe charm.

Since Kristin was known to be a bit “touchy” with her dress, her bridesmaids made her white “bridal gloves” to wear while she got dressed!

Quite possibly the windiest day in Florida ever!

Kristin’s dad had the best toast ever…. surprising everyone with a little strip show!

Ok, maybe he just took his jacket off – but he revealed his “Ode to Mike”….

And then presented Mike with a little book to help him get through the next few years… (i.e. the rest of his life)

By far, Kristin’s party topped our “favorite receptions” – with lots of fun props (being used in our photobooth, and on the dance floor)!

It goes downhill from here (but in SUCH a fun way!)

At the end of the night, Kristin and Mike shared a last dance on the dance floor while everyone else went outside for the exit.

This is a sad bride because her wedding was over…

Shooting a wedding takes on an entirely new meaning when you’re working with a team that stands out as a brilliant group of creative minds. All day I was running from detail to detail, excitedly trying to stick my nose in everything and see what everyone had created. It’s sort of like hanging out with friends, and makes “working” not feel like work at all. Between Luisa, April and Lee – I couldn’t have asked for a better team, but it didn’t end there. Every vendor put their hearts in to Allison and Jesse’s wedding, and it showed in every single element of the day.

Allison and Yessid (Jesse, as his friends call him)  met back in 2005 as students at UCF. I actually love the story of how they met, because it’s a meeting that almost never happened. When Jesse and Allison both decided against staying home to go to a movie on campus, they found each other and have been inseparable ever since. Jesse actually transferred to Savannah for work in the summer of 2010, so they’ve been driving back and forth every weekend just to see each other! Now Savannah is their new home, and they celebrated with homemade Pralines at their reception! Such a cute favor!

After meeting them at a Chick-Fil-A (haha, yes, it’s like my normal meeting spot) – I knew I had to have Jesse and Allison as my clients. They’re one of those couples that just makes you happy! I was happy to see them, spend this day with them, and I get excited every time Allison emails and writes to me! Not that I’m in any rush for them, but I also can’t wait until they have cute little “Jessison” babies because I’m pretty sure they would be incredibly cute and the best baby-dancers in the world.

So funny story. Christian caught the garter…. and his sister caught the bouquet. So we had to switch it up a bit to save Christian’s dignity

On November 3rd I had the huge privilege of hosting 9 amazing photographers here in my home in Orlando as part of the Images for a Cure Workshop!

I was so excited to open this opportunity to photographers of all levels who were interested in learning more about the business and marketing side of our industry. We ate, we talked and we shot. All in all, it was a brilliant day and I had so much fun sharing with everyone who attended.

As an even bigger perk, our group helped us to raise the most money from one participating photographer out of all 3 years of the organization – together, we brought in nearly $4,500 for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation!

I have about 100 words floating in my head to describe Caitlin and Chris. Funny – that one if probably the most true (any engagement session where the guy references ‘Tommy Pickles’ is ok in my book!). Laid back? Casual? Sophisticated? They’re sort of this interesting conundrum. The epitome of a young married couple, their relationship is rich in family, friends and faith. But they’re also a modern newlywed couple that enjoy being active, teasing each other and the simple luxuries of their new lives together.

Since meeting in a college group at their church a few years ago, Chris knew he had to be with Caitlin. The best man’s speech actually summarized the beginning of their relationship perfectly: when Chris told his friends about meeting Caitlin, they only had one concern for him – would this take away time from Halo? Luckily, Caitlin joined right in, and they all knew she was a keeper.

So here we are, at a gorgeous pink and ivory wedding with Caitlin looking every bit as feminine and gorgeous as she dreamed when she was little, standing alongside her new husband – her prince charming. No doubt there are big shoes to fill for Chris to come in to Caitlin’s life; but, having gotten to know Chris over the past few months, I know he cherishes and respects Caitlin, and she’ll be perfectly loved

I’m a little overly excited for Allison and Jesse’s wedding in October! Not only will I have some of the most adorable clients ever, but I’m also working with one of my favorite coordinators, April Dorsey of The D-Tales, and my main-man Florist, Lee Forrest! Mix in the gorgeous Rosen Shingle Creek venue and it’s going to be an epic event.

Jesse and Allison had one of those “we knew right away” moments when they met as students at UCF. After only a month dating, Jesse’s job transferred him to Savannah, GA for work. Now, they drive between Savannah and Orlando every single weekend to spend time together.

It’s sometimes pretty difficult to really explain connections that I have with my clients – but since the first meeting with them, I felt instantly connected to them, to their relationship. It’s infectious – in a good way I’m so happy to be able to call these two silly kids “friends”. I adore them (and yes, the sweet-tea bribe may have had something to do with all this tog-love!)

I had an amazing shoot with this gorgeous couple and I know Allison has been on pins and needles waiting to see their session!
