Meagan was one of my easiest brides. Calm and relaxed, I barely heard a peep from her during her entire planning process. Although Meagan is a bit low maintenance, her wedding was a gorgeous combination of thoughtful details in yellow and gray.

How Meagan and Alex met, however, is one of my favorite stories. After going out with friends to a “going away” party (celebrating Alex’s move to Chiropractic school in Missouri), Alex asked Meagan to pretend to be his girlfriend so another girl would stop hitting on him. Meagan fell for it (:)) and they quickly became attached. After spending 2 weeks together, Alex headed off to Missouri and Meagan found every reason possible to visit him. After logging thousands of miles in plane tickets and substantially more texts and phone calls, Alex and Meagan were finally getting married!

Now for those who know me, you know how much I’m a big believer in fate and things that are meant to be. So when Meagan, who lost her brother just 3 years ago, and Alex, who lost his mother 5 years ago, mentioned that they felt her brother and his mom ultimately had a big part in bringing them together, I knew I would just adore working with them!

Their ultimate goal for this garden-inspired wedding was to celebrate their love with friends and family. They wanted everyone who was closest with them there – and their guests were one of their top priorities. It made for such a beautiful day!

Meagan took these super cute gray Target flats and adorned them with gold turtle brooches in remembrance of her brother, Sean.

A seemingly lost art, Meagan and the girls got ready at Meagan’s house in Titusville.

Breaking from the norm, both Meagan and Alex included a Man of Honor and Grooms-girl in to their bridal parties!

Kristin and Mike were married in a sweet outdoor ceremony at Interlachen Country Club. Kristin’s theme for the wedding was something along the lines of “Jessica Simpson meets Pride and Prejudice and had a Twlight baby”.  With soft pink, creamy ivory and a hint of gray, their wedding had the romance and spunk of a young sweet couple in love.

Kristin spoiled her bridesmaids with lots of beautiful gifts – like their floral bridesmaids robes.

But one of our favorite moments was when this self-proclaimed Daddy’s girl got the wedding toast of a lifetime – paying homage to the new man in her life. He had a few surprises up his sleeve….

Kristin put a spin on the bride’s gown hanger and bought custom hangers for her bridesmaids in their nicknames!

On the left, a custom pin that Kristin wore was actually collected from her parent’s house and melted together, to take a bit of her past on to her future.

The “books” are actually boxes for the bridesmaids robes!

Mike’s present to Kristin was a silver charm bracelet with a horseshoe charm.

Since Kristin was known to be a bit “touchy” with her dress, her bridesmaids made her white “bridal gloves” to wear while she got dressed!

Quite possibly the windiest day in Florida ever!

Kristin’s dad had the best toast ever…. surprising everyone with a little strip show!

Ok, maybe he just took his jacket off – but he revealed his “Ode to Mike”….

And then presented Mike with a little book to help him get through the next few years… (i.e. the rest of his life)

By far, Kristin’s party topped our “favorite receptions” – with lots of fun props (being used in our photobooth, and on the dance floor)!

It goes downhill from here (but in SUCH a fun way!)

At the end of the night, Kristin and Mike shared a last dance on the dance floor while everyone else went outside for the exit.

This is a sad bride because her wedding was over…

I don’t usually get the opportunity to shoot a lot of second weddings, but I can honestly say that they’re one of my favorite things to photograph! They just have an entirely different vibe – it’s more about emotion and love, and the simple things that make a beautiful relationship. Not that bigger, first weddings don’t have that same emotion – they’re just a different kind of happy for me!

And on the busiest wedding day of the year (11/11/11), I was thankful for a small private wedding before our big blow-out that evening (stay tuned for Kristin and Mike’s event). It was the ying to our yang

From meeting with Amy and her twin daughters, Rachel and Sophia, I was excited for their plans and how openly Jeff has welcomed the girls in to his life. Their wedding sparkled with little details meant just for them – a way to show each other their level of commitment as husband and wife, and now as parents. Since they had so many special details, I’ll point them out along the post.

Since they’re both in the art field, and Jeff proposed to Amy in the elevator at the Grand Bohemian, it was a no-brainer when they were searching for the perfect venue. But finding the gown – that’s actually my favorite story! After Amy found the gown, but realized there were no retailers here in the US that sold it – she found one online and bought it – sight unseen. When she sent the email committing to the dress, it was 11:11am. When the gown arrived, it fit like perfection – not a single stitch needed altered. The dress, much like their relationship, was meant to be.

Small painted canvases and cards for each of them to read during the ceremony surrounded a very special birdcage…

Rachel played Amy’s entrance on the flute, and also played a special song during the ceremony.

Each of them had a bird, which they symbolically placed in the birdcage together, signifying their new joint family.

Sophia read a poem that she wrote for her mom and Jeff

Jeff and Amy exchanged “puzzle” rings…

… and then surprised the girls with “puzzle” rings too!

You didn’t think I’d let Monday slip away without another gorgeous wedding to blog, did you?

Jessica and Michael Joseph (MJ) got married back in November and I was in girly heaven! Shoes, jewelry, gown… I was smitten with everything Jess had selected! Although I wasn’t the least bit surprised – Jess was brought up by a fashion savvy mom who worked in the fashion publishing field for years. So from the second I met her and her mom at a Starbucks downtown, I knew it would be an amazing day.

If you saw their gorgeous engagement session, you would have heard that they definitely keep it all in perspective! In case you’re not in to clicking – here’s my favorite part from that post:

As a doctor living in New York, and a lawyer living in Orlando – they have the ultimate long distance relationship. But one of the things I will always remember the most about this adorable two-some is this little note from MJ, “Yes…managing a long-distance relationship (now, engagement) can be trying, but the thought of spending the rest of my life with her keeps me going.”

Jess and MJ used a classic color combo of eggplant, silver, black and white. The Peabody was an amazing location for Jess to get ready and for the couple’s formal photos.

A day of sweet, classic love was exactly what the doctor ordered!

Shoe heaven. Jess’s wedding shoes were a peep-toe Nina and her “after-party” shoes were sexy, strappy Badgley Mischka heels!

Her bridesmaids wore a metallic gray, floor-length gown and royal purple pumps

The detailing on Jess’s veil was impeccable. It was so flattering to her gown – it complimented it perfectly!

Every moment of Jessica going down the aisle was absolutely breathtaking. From the front, back or side…. she looked amazing.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral is one of my top 3  favorite church’s in Orlando to shoot in!

The Peabody was perfect for their formals because there are so many cool places to walk around. But by far, their Napa restaurant was my favorites!

We adored the cake that The Peabody made for Jess and MJ! It was so delicate and beautiful – and the flowers were awesome!
