I met up with Alyssa and Logan, their moms and family friend, for their senior session the morning before the wedding. Hanging out with their crew kinda made me feel like I was in high school again! You know how you still feel like it wasn’t that long ago, then remember that you graduated when your clients were 5. Yes, 5. Ugh. Growing up stinks

So anyways! Moving right along to Alyssa and Logan!

Alyssa is my little all-american kind of girl, simple and sophisticated, but with that little bit of spunk that makes her just silly enough…

And Logan is the fashionista who loves bold colors, girly patterns and a little bit of sparkle.

Spending time with them, you could easily tell why they’re such good friends – and I’m so glad I got to shoot their sessions! They really made my stay in Cincinnati so much fun!

Margaux just graduated from Oviedo High School and wanted a session that showed her love for clothes, and her free spirit! We went for something a little close to home – shooting in some of my favorite local areas, and then branched out to some fun architecture downtown to bring in her love of city-life!

She’s going to FSU in the fall, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that happen for her! (oh, and to Margaux’s mom… thanks for the pizza!)

Hair and Makeup by Luisa V

Actually, when I first met Jorden, I knew we’d have a good session. She’s an adorable girl with an affection for old movies and Audrey Hepburn.

So I asked Luisa to join us for Jorden’s senior session earlier this month! We all spent the afternoon together hanging out, shooting, dancing… you know, the norm.

We ended the session at the appropriately named “Pugsley Hall” over at Rollins College!

I figured Thanksgiving was as good a day as any to post the gorgeous senior session of Rohini Singh! Rohini and her sister Shiwani contacted me about doing her senior photos awhile back, and were instantly drawn to my involvement with Images for a Cure! After talking about the organization for a bit, we decided that they would be the perfect shoot to donate 100% of the session fee to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation!

So beyond all the other things I’m thankful for, I’m incredibly thankful for the amazing people who have contributed their session fees to Images for a Cure, and to the amazing photographers who have worked tirelessly to help us reach our goals this year. With less than a week left to accept donations, we’re insanely close to reaching our 2010 goal, so I would encourage anyone interested to find a participating photographer near them to donate!

I also wanted to thank Molly Osmond from Lunatic Fringe Salon in Altamonte Springs for donating hair and makeup for Rohini’s session! Lunatic Fringe is a huge supporter and sponsor of my Images for a Cure sessions, and are donating time from their stylists to work on my other shoots next week! They are seriously amazing!

And a huge thank you to Rohini and Shiwani for being a huge part of IFAC this year It was such a pleasure to meet you and work with you!

I got a call from Brant a couple months ago, while sitting in my “virtual office” – the Tire Kingdom waiting room. He was looking for an awesome Christmas present for his girlfriend, Caity. I vaguely remember going over the details of what a fashion portrait session entails while random men pretended not to listen to my call. Quite frankly, I can’t think of anything more awesome than spending a day with me and Jillian, so I was super excited to get an email from Caity about her new present!

One of the cutest parts of the day was when I excitedly beckoned for Brant to show him one of the captures from the back of my camera, and squeeled, “Doesn’t she look beautiful!” Brant took a second and looked at the image, then said, “I always think she looks beautiful.” (I’m sure one of Brant’s baseball buddies will punch him for that one…)

Oh, to be 17 again!

I LOVE shooting these senior-fashion sessions, because it’s like playing “Model for a Day” with my clients! Not that it’s a stretch for Caity, the senior volleyball player, who stands taller than me barefoot (I’m 5’9″). So you’d think I’d be all over the long shots, right? Nope! This girl has the most amazing skin and gorgeous green eyes – I took every chance I got to shoot nice and close.

Can you believe this is only Caity’s teaser? I still have a ton of photos to dish out! So sit tight and hang out on my blog for a bit. Don’t forget to leave a little comment to let Caity know how awesome her boyfriend is (as if she already didn’t!)

And Brant – thank you so much for bringing Caity to me! You were an awesome fan-holding-paper-moving-location-finding-clothes-carrying-boyfriend-assistant, who ended up sitting through hours of gossip about Jimmy Choo and wedding gowns. I hope you guys love the photos as much as I loved working with you! (Oh, and PS, Brant, don’t ever call me ma’am again! haha)

I figured I’d make Brant get at least one shot with Caity, since they were all the way out here!  He obliged, but I’m not sure how happy he was about it!

We finished up right as the sun was going down. Just enough time to grab one last shot by street light.
