Kathy and Rob had been anxiously awaiting the birth of little Stella James when we did their Bella Collina maternity session back in October. Much to their surprise, Stella joined their new family a little early, so I got to meet their little peanut when she was just 8 days old!

Stella was born on November 22, 2011 at 4pm. She was a healthy 6 lbs. 12.5 oz – and has the cutest big feet ever!

I can’t wait to see her again in a couple months and watch how much she grows this year

I may have almost peed my pants when Kathy’s mom pulled out this picture of Kathy as a baby

I adore Kathy’s necklace – it’s a real peanut dipped in gold – it’s also Stella’s nickname-sake

Stella can fall asleep just about anywhere…. seriously.

Stella’s room is like this Parisian happy place – full of soft colors, sweet accents and fashion details.

Stella was done cooperating. Gladly, she didn’t cry once during our session, but I took this next “pose” as a sign….

Tessa | 3 Months

Last month I was going through massive baby withdrawl. Since 3 months is one of my favorite ages to shoot (in my very limited tolerance for photographing kids – I actually quite enjoy the first year! After that… I have some great photographers I can recommend) – I emailed my old college roommate, Erin, who has a sweet little girl named Tessa!

Erin and Nate got married back in 2006 and was actually one of the first weddings I ever shot. So it was really fun to meet their first baby and see how much they’ve grown as a family!

And a great surprise – I actually got to photograph Tessa’s first roll! Nate missed it thanks to Anthony’s XBOX skills, but luckily she did it again for her daddy

I guess I “officially” first met Vanessa at last year’s Images for a Cure Workshop when she attended my fashion bridal shoot! She’s a local photographer with the cutest little family ever! Fashionable, sweet – and Stephanie even taught me a little Portuguese! (a little…. and I don’t remember any of it

So I wanted to officially introduce you to Gregory, Vanessa and their daughter, Stephanie!

The best thing about Stephanie – she literally did all of her own posing. And all these candid shots – totally her. I didn’t have to suggest.
A bundle of energy times a hundred.
Which is why I love this photo below so much.

Dear Brady:

You are the sweetest little baby ever! I can’t believe you’re already crawling, learning to walk, gurgling… it seems like only 3 months ago you were throwing up down my shirt (wait, that WAS only 3 months ago)… and now you’re all grown and going to your first Red Sox game with mom and dad. You are just the most precious little guy and I can’t wait to see how much you grow in the next 9 months… the next 9 years…. and so much beyond that.

6 months. It’s a tough time for a kid. I mean, you’ve got all this stuff to say and just can’t find the words. Literally. Probably because you don’t know them yet.

So you do what Brady does. He talks… a lot. And he uses his hands and face to tell us 10 minute long stories about his troubles.

I’ve been taking pictures of this little goober since he was a fetus (word of the week!), and now – I get to share his celebration of being exactly one half of one year old! (Or… if you’ve been following my facebook page, Thanksgiving-Turkey-sized!

Oh, and PS – this session is actually being posted in backwards order until Anthony can figure out how to make it stop doing that
