Ella Grace
11.01.2009Children Family

Edman and Michelle contacted me a little while ago to take some photos of their little one, Ella Grace. She’s 7 months old – and can I just say, if anyone has any kids 6-12 months, you need to bring them to me. I’ll take them for a couple hours. They’re by far my most fun age group to shoot. And editing is a bit of a fresh look too – instead of editing out stray hairs, I’m editing out little boogies. I love everything about it :)

Which reminds me! If you’re looking at these and thinking – “Gee, I’d love some pictures of me/baby/boyfriend (etc.)” – I only have a couple session dates open this month. I can’t believe I’m almost totally booked! So don’t wait – or you’ll miss out on all the awesomeness :)

More of Ella will appear in the next week or 2, but in the meantime, here’s some teasers from her session today!

This was one of those quiet moments between mom and Ella. Those are my favorites… when everyone thinks I’m done, and I catch that one last moment…

Off to do a family shot or 2, and I knew the perfect place! This tree only blooms this time of year… and I LOVE the colors!

Images for a Cure | Sky & Wes

During the uber fabulous Images for a Cure event, I got to photograph 2 of the sweetest kids – Skyler and Weston! It was sooo hot outside (I mean, really – over 95 and mid-October? Yay, Florida! – sarcasm…) and the kids were super troopers through it. I’m actually hoping to get them back out for a little “make up session” now that’s it getting a bit cooler out. Being a model is hard work!

I wanted to share some of the great shots that we did manage to get – heat and all.

Images for a Cure | Isabella
10.18.2009Children

This is little Isabella Marie! She was another of my Images for a Cure sessions, and her mom is a local makeup artist. We took full advantage of this gorgeous weather and had a wintery fashion shoot with her in Downtown Oviedo. Photographing kids can be tricky – but she was amazing to work with! I thought she had been doing this for years! She loves to model, loves to pose and loves to flash those big blue eyes.

A couple things I learned about Isa:

  • She has not, in fact, given a chicken a bath. No matter what she tells you.
  • She loves lip gloss and red rain boots.
  • She thinks that her mom does the “bum dance” because it’s cool.
  • When a rooster does that “cockadoodledo” thing – it’s saying hello (or goodbye).
  • She speaks better Spanish than I do.
  • In true model form, she would give me 1 minute of smile – then haul butt off “set” looking for a new spot to pose.

Thanks, Jessica, Stacey and Isa, for coming out to play today! Isa was the best and I hope to see you guys again soon!

And for everyone else, little Miss Isabella Marie is going to be a contender for the new GapKids Casting Call! Make sure you go put in a couple votes for her!

My last family session was cooler than yours ;)

After a short recess for some much needed vacation, I finally got the pictures from Jesse’s family session finished and ready for blogging! Yay! Jesse’s been on me for a few weeks to get these up, so I’m glad they’re finally finished for her :) This was no small task, I had so many that I loved! I also love any chance to play with the bright colors and add some fun vintage editing! If you missed the teasers, you can check them out over here.

I asked little Peyton how many friends she had at school. The answer was 10. Why 10? Because she didn’t have any more fingers. Of course :)

We took a break for a little flower picking. Brooklyn proudly shows dad his find!

Ok so this is a new version of my favorite shot of the day. In the teasers, I went a little more vintage. But I love the bright coloring of this one!

We took a side trip to downtown Celebration for the pretty colors, and yummy smelling Farmer’s Market!

This shot is a replica of a picture they took when Peyton was Brooklyn’s age. So we did it again, with both the kids!

Back outside for some adorable shots of Brad and Jesse to finish off the day!

Mia is 7 Months old!
08.15.2009Children

You may remember little Miss Mia from her big debut photo shoot about 4 months ago…

This little baby might just be the cutest baby I’ve worked with (don’t be jealous, you can’t deny she’s adorable)! She toughed it out through some stormy clouds, technical difficulties and blazing heat. Angie and I worked together recently at my ex-full time job (woohoo for being a photographer all the time now!) and I absolutely fell in love with Mia from the moment I saw her. Angie and Orlando make beautiful babies – we’ve all agreed. One day, maybe I can get her to make one for me :)

You may also notice that I had a little launch of a brand new blog design (thanks Anthony!). I loved my other blog (designed by the uber-fabulous Linda Barnett), but with the start of my new life ventures, I needed a fresh beginning with my blog.

We’re still working on a few glitches, which is why you can’t comment – but feel free to pop on over to my Facebook Fan page and leave some love :)

So without much more dilly dallying – here’s little Mia.
