Lavender Multicultural Wedding in Orlando
February 24, 2017 | Jocelynn and Cristian
With a traditional Catholic multicultural wedding ceremony at Annunciation Church, to the lavender and purple accents – this wedding was breathtakingly classic and romantic! Our KWP Master photographer, Stephanie, joined Jocelynn and Cristian for their wedding day in February where they were greeted with beautiful Florida winter weather! 200 guests and a 24 person wedding party celebrated alongside this Texas couple as they said ‘I Do’ and danced the night away!
Cultural blends of Peruvian, Filipino, Hispanic, Chilean and American made their ceremony memorable, and we loved that they incorporated traditions of each part of their heritages! But I’d be lying if I said we didn’t go absolutely crazy over any couple who has a hora loca at their reception! Crazy hour is one of our favorite parts of the evening and makes for some of our favorite photos!
Their proposal story has to be one of my favorites, too! After meeting at work, Cristian and Jocelynn were preparing to move in to their very first apartment together. Cristian had arranged it with the leasing office to get in before their actual move-in date, and set up an empty bedroom with flowers, champagne and macarons. The leasing office sent Jocelynn a “spoof” email, asking her to come in for an inspection… and there she found Cristian!
“I surprised her as we walked in and proposed right in the first apartment we’d be moving into together.”
Honestly. The cutest thing ever!
Their Wedding Day
For their wedding day, family flew in from all ends of the world – from the Philippines to Chile. Stephanie told me that you would never have known that these families hadn’t been joined forever – they were all so close right from the beginning! Jocelynn’s mother had passed away awhile ago, so we loved that she had a photo of her placed on her bouquet, so she could still be with Jocelynn down the aisle.
Stephanie said she gained the most insight in to what incredible people Jocelynn and Cristian are from their friends’ toasts. “You could tell that these two are very loving, selfless people that have acquired a great group of friends that care about them … and know how to party!”
Thank you, from the entire KWP team, to Jocelynn, Cristian and their amazing team of vendors for making this day so wonderful for us to photograph!
