Cocoa Beach – Trash the Dress
02.28.2010trash the dress

I started talking to Manza a couple months ago about doing a super fun, super trashy, Trash the Dress session in Cocoa Beach! She was on her way down here for a conference from the blistering cold Wisconsin, and wanted to enjoy a little Florida sunshine and beach. Florida or not, it was still pretty cold (for me, anyways) when she fearlessly jumped in the Atlantic for a little sand and surf! I’m sort of sad I missed out on all of the gawking tourists (er, paparazzi), but her session was wet, sandy and gorgeous!

Here’s a quick teaser before I head to bed! (Starting with my favorite “trashed” shot, then a couple from the beginning of her session!)

….Before we trashed the dress, she looked absolutely stunning!

Hollie heads to LA
02.23.2010Boudoir Portraits

I’m stinky at Good-Byes, so I generally avoid them at all costs :) When Hollie told me she was moving to Los Angeles (in just a couple weeks), I was super sad, but not at all surprised. It was time for Holls to get out of small-time Orlando and head to the big city lights and pursue her acting… modeling… or just being happy. Whatever it is that she’s looking for in LA, I know she’ll find it :) I have every intention of making frequent trips out there – since more and more of my friends are heading west.

But before she left, we wanted to get in one last shoot! She wanted to update her portfolio, I wanted to try some genres that I haven’t dipped in to very much recently. And thus, today was a spectacular day for shooting.

The sun was gorgeous, the weather was warm, and my dirty garage floor provided the perfect backdrop for her amazingly sexy boudoir shots. Mission accomplished :)

Tiffany and Tibor | Orlando Couples Photographer
02.22.2010Portraits couples

Tiffany came out to Oviedo the other day to help me out with my project, and we decided to run out and grab a quick 20 minute session of her and her boyfriend, Tibor. I haven’t seen Tiffany since somewhere in 2007, so it was really fun catching up and hanging out for a little bit!

As a side note, it’s also 5am, and I can’t believe I’m still up :) Ah, the life of a photographer. Whoever says our lives are easy because we have to “sacrifice our Saturday nights” has never spent 20 hours editing, while their family enjoys a lazy Sunday playing games and watching tv (ok, I lied a little bit – I’m watching Three’s Company right now). Actually, I think I’ve logged something likeĀ  110 work-hours this last week. I think this coming week may be more. Not that I’d change that, of course, because I’m finally doing what I love more than anything else. But I can tell you I’ve worked harder (and longer) at my passion than I ever did at a full-time job. Ever. Mentally, physically…. ever. And I know about 300 photographers across the world who would surely confirm that.

Lucky for me, this doesn’t feel like work. And admittedly, I’d rather be sitting here writing this blog post than sleeping (we can sleep when we die, right?). Although I may turn in shortly… but at this point, I’m not sure it’s worth it?

However, it may be so late that I’m delirious, and that surely wouldn’t be a good way to write a blog post. I may have to re-read this tomorrow and see how completely crazy I sound :)

Maybe I should just stick to what I know – and get you to the pictures!

Although there’s a pretty solid argument for this shot of Tiffany alone (minus the confusing hairy arm. I guess I’m the only one digging the confusion :)
