lauren and jason’s album

I got Lauren and Jason’s album just before their trash the dress session in early July, but with moving and being all crazy lately – I forgot to post a couple of shots from their book! I like to show a little bit of the albums when I get them in, just because they’re so fun for me to get! Lauren and Jason got a couple of smaller parent’s albums and a large bridal album. So anyhow, I’m deliriously tired I think, because I’m rambling :)

where’s waldo?
07.24.2009Life

I’m just checking in, since I’ve been so out of touch lately. :( Boo.

Ok, so huge glitch in our closing – but it all worked out thanks to our awesome Mortgage Consultant, Roxanne. We closed, and moved, last Friday. Massive stress and headaches. So I’m happy to announce that I now own my own home! Woohoo!

My office is coming along, and once it’s set up (along with the rest of the house), I’ll post some pictures.

On a random note – I got this awesome email from my fiance yesterday at work:

“Hungry? I packed you a marshmallow in your purse last night. :) ” …. and sure enough, there was a jumbo marshmallow in my purse. Ugh. Boys. So I gave it a face and arms.

a steamy orlando trash the dress session

Lauren and Jason Kube are quite possibly one of the sexiest couples I’ve worked with! These two are on fire, and we had a steamy downtown Orlando Trash the Dress session. Lauren had a classic chic Jessica McClintock gown and dark teal sash. I can’t wait to post the whole shoot, but for now, I’m excited to post these teasers!

You can check out their wedding pics here, and become a Facebook Fan here! You can also view their Trash the Dress teasers on The Wedding Chicks website!

And special thanks to Hamburger Mary’s and Church Street Station for the awesome locations!

Lauren gets all the credit for stumbling on Hamburger Mary’s. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to Church Street and never gone inside! I’m a huge fan now!

Not to mention, they have the cutest pink and green umbrellas outside on their “patio”. We had an audience of servers with their faces pressed against the glass, too.

I HAD to add this one… if not for the green umbrellas, for the fact that I asked them to do something “them”… and Jason busted out the robot. Lauren = not amused. I thought it was funny. The second picture is the after-effect of the Robot. That’s disbelief you see on her face.

This was actually one of the first shots, but I did a different little editing technique so I wanted to put it closer to the end.

  • Reyna: These are so beautiful!
tina + evan | an orlando wedding
07.06.2009Fashion Weddings

Tina and Evan were married on June 13, 2009 in sunny, and hot, Orlando. Their event was beautiful and intimate, with their closest family and friends attending. The country club had a hint of old Southern charm, with white wicker furniture and beautiful arched ceilings. A good friend of the bride, and fantastic coordinator, Jennifer Clark of EllaCharles Events made every little detail absolutely fabulous!

Venue: Tuscawilla Country Club
Floral: Lee Forrest Designs
Cakes: Belladonna Cakes
Entertainment: Marc Burgess Productions
Coordinator: EllaCharles Events

View their wedding on the “Real Weddings” section of weddingchicks.com. (and their highlight here!)

bad blogger!
07.06.2009Children Life

Wow, a lot of things have been going on lately and I’ve completely neglected my blog! Not intentionally, of course… but let me catch you up on some new and exciting events so you don’t think I’ve forgotten about you!

  • New Blog. Anthony is working on my new blog layout. Granted, I just opened this one, but I needed to put one up to realize what I wanted and how I wanted it to work. So my new blog will feature larger pictures, calmer colors and match my branding much better! It’s been a slow process building the new site, due largely in part to the next bullet:
  • We’re buying a house! We actually close in 2 days, and I can barely breathe. I’m known to have a bit of an anxiety problem, and this is not helping whatsoever. We decided to build a new home back in March and I can’t believe closing day is already here! I’ve been blogging about the process on my blog at work: The New Home Sales Guru (although, that’s been neglected lately, as well). But I’ll be posting lots of pictures this week. We close on Wednesday (how cool is our closing date? 07-08-09), and have painters coming in that day to paint most of the house. The weekend is all devoted to hanging curtains, lights, ceiling fans and other misc. items, then we move on July 17th!
  • My new office/studio! My focus had primarily been on fashion photography just a short year ago… but I’ve really found my footing and vision in my wedding work since about November of last year, and it’s slowly taking over my plans for my business. I still love fashion, and still have plenty of fashion shoots coming up – but I’ve found my love for weddings again, and I’m so lucky to work with some of the absolute coolest couples ever. My new office will be less of a studio and more of a home office, but super swanky with chandeliers and a cool paint color called “Gothic Amethyst”! It probably won’t be completely finished until the end of August with everything I’d like to do to it… but there will be plenty of pictures posted once it is!
  • Family, and more family. My little sister has been spending the summer with us and my parents are coming in town in the beginning of August for a whole week! I’m so excited to see them!! But it’s cutting in to my blog/work time :)

So that’s been my summer so far! I’ve actually taken some time to relax out by the pool (3 days now!) and get a little bit of fresh air and sun. I need more of those days :)

Also, big announcement coming at the end of the month. Can’t wait to share :)
